Durcon Among ARMA's "Founding Forty" Members
Cordell Bennigson, Durconâ€™s CEO and member of the ARMA Board of Directors, said of the association, â€œManufacturing plays an important role in our nationâ€™s economy. ARMA was formed to not only be an advocate for this vitally important industry, but also to allow manufacturers in the Austin area to share ideas and best practices to help strengthen their businesses here in the area.â€? Bennigson added, â€œDurcon is proud of our central Texas roots as well as our international operations and global reach. Other ARMA members include global giants such as Samsung and Freescale Semiconductor, and we have the backing and support of the Austin Chamber of Commerce and government policy makers.â€?
Durcon Incorporated, which was recently acknowledged as Central Texas Exporter of the year, looks forward to participating with other ARMA members from around central Texas to share its over forty years of manufacturing, export and logistics experience. Mr. Bennigson said of the new enterprise, â€œWe hope to advance the way we do business in this region. This group has a mix of some of the largest companies in the world along-side medium and small organization who are teaming together to promote growth.â€?
ARMA is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the thriving Austin and Central Texas, manufacturing industry through advocacy, workforce development and networking. In addition, ARMA promotes manufacturing in schools and the community, as well as ensuring employment opportunities and benefits are continually improving to support the areas industrial growth.
